"In a time when
my daughter was staying up until midnight every night petrified
by a reoccurring nightmare, 'When You Are About To Go Off
The Deep End' gave me the one tip that had her sleeping peacefully

"I
just wanted to let you know that your book is great and I
really am enjoying reading the book and listening to
the CD.
I am trying the"
chores are for everyone" approach. The other night, I told
my 5 year old that I wanted to clean the bathroom with his
help and he said "YES!" and asked if he could help me clean the toilet.
My four
year old daughter briefly became upset because I she wanted to
use the toilet brush too.
Since reading your book, I have my preschoolers doing a lot more things now... they make their beds in the morning, help clear
the dinner table and put their dishes in the dishwasher. Once
again, I wanted to thank you for your book. Our household is
running much better now."
–
Andrea Durham, Kingston, ON,
"Ultimate Mom" to two active preschoolers who now help with
chores.

"Kelly is bar none my parenting guardian angel. She has kept
me out of the "deep end" when I used to be in the "deep end"
every day. I used to want to cry by 9AM as the kids were so
difficult to get to school... now it is one of my favorite
times of the day."
– Julie Parkinson, PA, USA, "Ultimate Mom" to Jasmine 4 and
James 2.

"My
wife sat down last night to read your book, and couldn't put
it down! (Ironically, the kids were running around screaming
at each other while she was reading it!) Anyway, thanks again she really is enjoying it!"

“I read this whole book of wonder in just two sittings! I
especially loved the “Mom Time-Out” strategy and can’t wait to
see my eldest’s face when I tell her I’m taking one –
priceless!”

Mother and “Ultimate Mom” to Taylor 4 and Paige 1

"I love the book!!
Some of the diary entries sound just like days I’ve
had and it helps to know I am not alone. The 'Taking Action
Sections' at the end of each chapter are inspiring! Today
I took action by not giving my daughter the option of coming
home for lunch, and thus I did NOT break my six hours of 'me
time' into the usual two shorter 'me coffee breaks.' And the
best part.... I don't feel guilty.”
– Cyndi Jacob, Vanc., BC, “Ultimate Mom” of Devon 11

“I bought your book for a
friend and
she said although
she has heard about self care many times, it was only after
reading your book that it finally sunk in!
I also leant my copy to another friend who has three
step-children and she said it was the best book she has ever
read. She just loved it!
Now it's my turn to read it!“
- Liz Crawford, "Ultimate Mom" to Natalie 17 and Tanya 12

"This book has helped me adopt a completely new and revived
attitude about having three small children. I am now able to
see the humor in my role as a mom and my kids no longer take
me for granted but have a newfound respect and admiration for
me!"

“This book is
long overdue! It is practical, readable, and very "do-able".
Our family has used the "family meeting" for years
- with success – but now that we combine it with a fun
event (like suggested in chapter five) my 17 year-old actually
now looks forward to our meetings.”
– Therese Daniels,
Toronto, Ontario – “Ultimate Mom” to Carl

"Your book, and "mommy moments" has been a very big help in my
house! What speaks to me the most is making sure to take care
of myself. Instead of feeling resentful and angry about the
messes around the house, I have been getting my son to pick
things up after himself and to help me with the wash.
It's small,
but what a difference it has made to me.
If he throws something, I don't feel that tightening in my
chest as much (God, one MORE thing to have to do!), I just
think, oh well, he'll pick it up. And it has been such a joy
to do wash with him. He is so super cute putting the clothes
in the wash or in the dryer. And definitely, he takes
pleasure in this.
I also have
booked dates with everyone....I took myself out for a
manicure, I took my son out for cake and we had the best time
together and my husband and I dropped our children off at
relatives and had a quiet house to watch a video the whole way
through...a cheap date and it was such a joy to watch an adult
video. I love the spirit of your book and the “Mommy Moment”
messages I get. May all children be cherished and cared for
and loved so much!"
–
Lori Drydale, Vancouver, BC, "Ultimate Mom" to Eric 2.5 and

“As a busy career
minded single Mom, the support, skills and easy to follow
tips throughout this book are fantastic! There is only one
problem though … why couldn’t it have come out
14 years ago when I was really desperate for it?! ? This book should
be on every mother’s shelf and I look forward to passing
it on and becoming an “Ultimate Grandmother” in
the future as a result.”

"Kelly
Nault's book contains the message that all mothers need to
hear, in order to overcome our own upbringing. We were taught
that a "good mother" is totally self-sacrificing. That's
wrong! Kelly also uses her expertise in psychology to provide
you with literally dozens of tips on how to be the Ultimate
Mom you want to be and bring out the best in your kids. My
personal favorites:
- How to deal with sibling rivalry
- How to have fun and constructive family meetings.
- How to create quality time with your kids.
- How to take your own "Time Out" when you're stressed.
You don't need to be perfect, but Kelly shows you how to be
the best Mom you can be."

“This is a wonderful
book! It is engaging and inspiring. It is filled with creative tips for dealing with children
– and with your life – in a positive and uplifting
manner. Instead of jumping into the deep end, you’ll be soaring with delight
as you and your children gain the skills that makes love in relationships
thrive.”

“Kelly has written
the ultimate book for mothers! As a grandmother who has been
using and teaching Adlerian principles of child rearing for
over 35 years, I thought I had read and knew everything there
is to know on parenting and was not interested in yet another
book. But Kelly’s approach is so magical that I could
not put it down (even though I was at Disneyland with my grandchildren
while reading it). Each chapter introduces an important principle
with an innovative twist. It is upbeat, it is urbane, and
it is a must read for parents of today’s children.”

"Wow! It works like magic! Since reading this book and putting
the sibling fight strategy into practice the boys haven't been

“As
a father, and husband, I know that mothers have one of the
most difficult jobs on earth! So when I came across a book
that inspires moms to start taking care of themselves, so
they an give even more to their kids... I knew I had to share
it with my clients. If you are a mom, or have moms in your
life, there is no better time to get this book!

“As
a school principal of over 20 years I KNOW from experience
the importance of setting boundaries with children and of
the necessity for children to take responsibility for
their behaviour. This book covers setting boundaries and
how to teach your children responsibility at an early age!
If you are a parent struggling with common questions such
as 'how much freedom should I give my children' this
is a great bedside read at any time of day.”

North Vancouver, BC, Retired School Principal and Mother

"Your book is the first parenting book I have really liked
because it is so practical and not steeped in theory that has no
meaning. My goal is to introduce your book to as
many Indo-Canadian parents possible, as so many need to know how
not to spoil their child (especially our sons) but instead
empower them to become responsible and contributing adults."

Educator and President of Virsa
